Giving Three $2000 Grants for Specialized Eating Disorder Treatment Program Through
“TrueRecovery” Campaign

Vancouver, BC — (January 5, 2015) – Project True is seeking applicants for an outpatient eating disorder treatment program with renowned specialist, Dr. Laird Birmingham. Three selected applicants will receive $2000 towards their treatment program as part of the TrueRecovery campaign.

Applications are open to residents of the Lower Mainland who are at least 18 years of age, currently struggling with an eating disorder, and in need of financial assistance. Applicants must submit the online form, and a letter of recommendation from a physician or counselor by January 23, 2015. The names of candidates that meet the basic requirements of the online application will be placed into a draw, and selected on February 6, 2015.

Selected candidates will receive a consultation with Dr. Birmingham (http://drbirmingham.com) to determine medical eligibility. Dr. Birmingham will work with successful candidates to create a treatment program that meets their specific needs.

Project True founder and president Angela Rinaldis estimates that in her own journey towards recovery from Anorexia Nervosa, she has spent over $55,000 out of pocket to cover the costs of her outpatient care. The TrueRecovery campaign seeks to mitigate the expense, wait times, and other obstacles faced by British Columbians seeking treatment for disordered eating. Details and applications for TrueRecovery can be found online at http://projecttrue.com/new/truerecovery/

Project True is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing access to eating disorder recovery. Project True was created out of the lack of resources available for people struggling with body image issues and disordered eating in the lower mainland.
